Act One Drama Studio has successfully run classes and workshops since August 1994. Our goal is to give professional knowledge to our students by employing trained professionals from the entertainment business.
Our policy is for everyone to have fun and learn at the same time using acting techniques all can enjoy. Weekly drama classes are for any student wanting to improve their acting ability and social skills. Great attention and care is taken with the progress of each individual with reports and awards, including a yearly scholarship awarded annually to recognise their acheivements. Lessons include improvisation, performance techniques, concentration games, mime and speech.
Classes work towards annual shows including one act plays, optional LAMDA drama examinations (accredited) & drama festivals. We as a team help worthy causes, especially children's. We encourage all of our students to take part in everything! Every year we put on a full scale production at a local theatre. Career guidance is given to any student who wants it! We will give them as many skills as possible which will help them on their way and look good on a C.V. for future work in the entertainment business. or other businesses.
