LAMDA examinations
Act One encourages all students to particpate in LAMDA examinations. The different levels and grades available are not only for those who wish to have a career in Drama, but cater for all ages, from beginner to advanced.
Not only will you gain a qualification, you will gain knowledge and grow in confidence from the experience of having to perform under pressure and in front of an audience.
Don't worry!! Early grades are fun, especially in Verse & Prose, Acting & Mime. Have a go!
The examinations are nationally recognised and those accredited at Level 3, can be used to gain UCAS tariff points.
Act One puils have successfully been taking the LAMDA examinations for 12 years, with many students being awarded the Gold Medal in Acting.

One to one sessions are available on request for anyone wanting individual tuition & direction with solo pieces for auditioning at drama school or drama examinations. Career guidance & support will be given.

LAMDA Act One Booklet
The new LAMDA pack booklet will be given out to every student at the beginning of the school year in September, as soon as we receive the new LAMDA prices.
If you wish to be entered for the November examinations, pieces can be issued now, so you have plenty of time to learn them.
